The 12th Annual Dan L. Duncan Cancer Center Symposium: Focus on Translation and Training took place on Monday, Jan. 26, 2015 in Onstead Auditorium. The event was attended by over 350 people. It featured 160 research posters and a full day of cancer research lectures.

Symposium Research Lectures

The symposium featured a keynote lecture from Dr. Patricia Ganz, Director of Cancer Prevention and Control Research and the Patients and Survivors Program at the UCLA Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center. The day also included presentations from the four abstract winners, talks from each of the cancer center's seven research programs, and two special sessions on training and education in cancer research from Baylor's dean for the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, Dr. Deborah Johnson, and Dr. Alicia Monroe, senior vice president of Academic and Faculty Affairs at Baylor.
