Northwest Health Center provides care with over 50,000 unique visits annually. We strive to meet the healthcare needs of our local homeless population with preventive and primary care services provided through the Healthcare for the Homeless Program. Many of the clinic’s physicians also provide inpatient care at Ben Taub Hospital for general adult medicine and obstetrical patients. Internationally, our doctors participate in the Houston Shoulder-to-Shoulder experience in Honduras.

Patients receive leading edge care as Northwest serves as one of two training facilities for Family Medicine residents through the Department of Family and Community Medicine. Our clinic also hosts Baylor College of Medicine medical students beginning in their first year (via the Patient, Physician, and Society course) through their third- and fourth-year clerkships. Working together, the physicians, trainees, and patients stand at the forefront of medical training.
