Favorite Part of Living in Houston: Friendly neighborhood, lots of parks to do exercise, pet friendly city, the Astros, a lot of latino population.
Favorite Part of the Baylor EM Residency: I guess what drove me into emergency medicine was the connection with the people, we are the first line of support for the uninsured. Our specialty at Baylor focuses on the social disparities of health, and coming from a community based medical school, that goes along with my core values. Also, the ER "corillo" is a family, so many brilliant minds and all of them try to help you become the best physician you can be.

Favorite Houston Restaurant: not a restaurant but every H-E-B in the city
Favorite Part of Living in Houston: Coming from the Northeast, I'm excited to live in a "majority-minority" city with diverse perspectives and a variety of different cultures. The food scene is 10/10, the city is affordable, and you can play tennis outside all year around.
Favorite Part of the Baylor EM Residency: My co-residents and faculty are all easy-going and made me feel welcome from day one. The leadership team is extremely supportive and approachable. On shift, you see high patient acuity with a wide range of pathology complicated by housing insecurity, lack of access to healthcare, and other SDOH.
