
Section Overview
The Section of Cardiology at Baylor College of Medicine is nationally and internationally recognized for its outstanding clinical and scientific research programs.
We provide comprehensive care in interventional cardiology, heart failure and cardiac transplantation, electrophysiology, preventive cardiology and general cardiology in three affiliated hospitals: Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center/Texas Heart Institute, Ben Taub Hospital, and Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Affairs Medical Center, as well as in a new state-of-the-art outpatient facility.
Ongoing research efforts in basic science, translational research and clinical trials/outcomes research are focused on developing novel therapeutic strategies that will lead to advances in the treatment of patients with cardiovascular disease.
