• Medical school grades
• MSPE – Medical School Performance Evaluation (aka the dean’s letter)
• *USLME scores (Step 1 and Step 2CK) > 215 on first attempt

2) Letters of recommendation
• > 2 individual letters of recommendation
• Departmental (program director, chair, pediatric clerkship director) letter of recommendation optional

3) Honors
• Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) membership
• Gold Humanism Honor Society membership

4) Baylor Elective
• Helpful to allow us to get to know you
• Not a requirement; only a very small percentage of applicants are able to participate in this type of experience

5) Other
• Personal statement
• Research experience
• Publications
• Other experiences (e.g. volunteer and advocacy)
