The Student Services Committee (formally the Student Affairs Committee) was established in 1969 to provide a forum for the School of Medicine to address student concerns. Over time, the committee has expanded to include student representatives and faculty leadership from each of Baylor’s degree- granting programs.
The Student Services Committee is charged with providing a forum for students in the School of Medicine, School of Health Professions and the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences to discuss issues related to their learning environments, experience and learning outcomes; and for reviewing data on the effectiveness of student support programs and services. This is achieved from the work of sub-committees which include:
- Culture and Climate
- Diversity and Inclusion
- Health and Wellness
- Student Safety
- Registration and Records
- Financial Aid and Resources
- Academic Support/Learning Resources
Participation in college-wide organizations helps students to build leadership skills and creates opportunities for students to impact Baylor and our larger community. If you are interested in joining a college-wide organization, send your inquiries to the contacts listed below. If you are interested in starting your own organization, we strongly encourage you to submit an application.
