Professional Statement
I am so excited to have begun my career as a genetic counselor at Baylor College of Medicine. To begin my journey to this point, I studied biochemistry and genetics with a minor in psychology at Clemson University. In addition, I volunteered at the Pickens County Advocacy Center (a sexual assault survivor’s advocacy center), worked hard to raise money as the Philanthropy chair for my sorority’s cause of women’s heart health, and maintained a part-time position with the Clemson University Athletic Department. Through an internship at the Medical University of South Carolina, I was able to observe and participate in many patient interactions while also being exposed to the day to day, behind the scenes activities that genetic counselors are often tasked with. I have loved my experience at Baylor thus far, and I am excited to see where this journey takes me. Feel free to reach out to me with any questions you may have.
