Utilizing expertise of individuals across medical specialties, the UDC strives to bring together information from patient evaluations with cutting-edge mutli-omic testing and additional scientific research to find answers for patients of all ages. The UDC partners with government agencies and local institutions to evaluate patients, make discoveries, and advance the frontiers of healthcare.

The BCM UDC brings together leading clinicians and scientists across Baylor College of Medicine and its affiliate hospitals including Texas Children’s Hospital, Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center, Harris Health, and the Michael E. Debakey VA Medical Center to help to diagnose unusual, challenging, and extreme presentations of diseases across all medical disciplines including psychiatric, neurological, musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, and metabolic disorders.  In so doing, we aim to bring the power of genomics and precision medicine for providers and patients.
