Holly Fernandez Lynch, J.D., M.B.E, of Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania, was named the inaugural recipient of the 2019-2020 Baruch A. Brody Award & Lecture in Bioethics.

Lynch won for her significant contributions to the field in research and scholarship on topics ranging from religion and health law to FDA regulation of drugs to nudging health, and her involvement in groups like the Board of Public Responsibility in Medicine & Research and the Consortium to Advance Effective Research Ethics Oversight. Her work exemplifies Brody’s spirit and helps inspire and encourage the next generation of bioethics innovators.
