About Us
The Verna and Marrs McLean Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology is a center for research in the life sciences at Baylor College of Medicine. This dynamic research community has associated faculty in the Departments of Molecular and Human Genetics, Virology and Microbiology, Medicine, Molecular and Cellular Biology, Ophthalmology, Neuroscience, and Pharmacology. We are in the heart of the Texas Medical Center, allowing us to be a vital part of regional collaborations such as National Center for Macromolecular Imaging, Functional Genomics of Dictyostelium as well as the newly established Cell-Based Assay Screening Service Facility, and The W.M. Keck Center for Interdisciplinary Bioscience Training.
